Stuart Faulk received his BA from Cornell University and his
Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. He is currently on faculty at the University of Oregon?s
department of Computer and Information Science where he is Director of
the Oregon Software Engineering Research Center. Previously, he served
as principle investigator for the Requirements Engineering project at
the Software Productivity Consortium and as head of the Software Cost
Reduction (SCR) Project at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Recent
work includes serving as chief architect of the state-wide Oregon
Master of Software Engineering (www.omse.org) curriculum and teaching
in the program. Current research interests include value-based
software engineering (VBSE), software product-lines, and software
requirements methodology. |
Dr. Lawrence G. Votta received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979. From 1979 through 1998, he was both a member of technical staff and manager at Bell Labs, Lucent Technology. In 2001, he joined Sun as a distinguished engineer responsible for reliability, availability and performance modeling and measurement of Sun's web architecture and products. He is also continuing his exploratory work in software reliability modeling and measurement. Larry has published 10 articles in Physics and more than 60 articles in Software Engineering including empirical studies of software development from highly controlled experiments. He is a member of the IEEE and ACM. He is currently serving as an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering. |
