Robert J. Hall received the Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991, where he performed his Ph.D. work in the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory's Programmer's Apprentice Project. Since February, 1991 he has been a Member of Technical Staff (Principal Investigator) at AT&T Bell Laboratories, now AT&T Labs Research, working in the areas of automated software engineering, requirements engineering, feature interaction analysis, and agent-based Internet applications. He serves on the steering and program committees of the IEEE International Conferences on Automated Software Engineering as well as the editorial board of Kluwer's journal Automated Software Engineering.
