Harlan D Mills Award This award was established in Harlan D. Mills's name to recognize researchers and practitioners who have demonstrated long-standing, sustained, and meaningful contributions to the theory and practice of the information sciences, focusing on contributions to the practice of software engineering through the application of sound theory.
Presented to a software process professional or team of software professionals responsible for a sustained, measured, and significant improvement to their organization's software process.
Presented to an individual who has contributed dedicated and important service to the software engineering community.
Presented to an individual who has made significant and lasting research contributions to the theory or practice of software engineering.
Presented to the author(s) of the most distinguished paper presented at ICSE 2004. ICSE 1994 MIP Award This year, the award is made to Robert Allen and David Garlan, for their paper "Formalizing Architectural Connection"; Proceedings of the 16th ICSE, May 1994.
Alex Wolf (ACM SIGSOFT Chair) will announce the new ACM Fellows from the Software Engineering community. Karl Reed (Chair of IEEE TSE) will announce the new IEEE Fellows from the Software Engineering community. An IEEE Fellowship Award will be presented to Pankaj Jalote, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.
